Vinderi's unique heist ability is to duplicate chest contents, and is one of the few sources in the game to obtain precisely duplicate drops, right down to the mod rolls on the item(s). The duplicated items are not corrupted or mirrored. This ability only works when he is taken along in a Heist or Grand Heist, and even works for the chests that are unlocked by other crew members, and even for the chests directly opened by the player.
