Arcanist's can drop a lot of different currencies, but seems not all of them. How to display accurately but concisely? Ttyl (talk) 21:50, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

Ornate Chest

Pretty sure I saw an Ornate chest? Inherently higher IIR or IIQ perhaps? Ttyl (talk) 21:57, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

I opened an Ornate chest in Cruel Vaal Pyramid and all items that dropped had the maximum number of sockets allowed for each item at their respective level. Pretty sure this is it. zbapoc

Most of these seem inaccurate, but if you can find reliable references, I'll review those. —Vini (t|c) 08:48, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
It's not so much accurate, more of a tongue-in-cheek view of what strongboxes drop :/ Iamacyborg (talk) 15:26, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
Clearly all worst case scenarios, but some made me chuckle. The only suffix I have reason to believe doesn't function properly is of Treasures, which (with limited sample size in my testing so far) DOES appear to drop more whites and less rares than average drops. --Qetuth-(talk) 23:35, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
Intended to be a joke, but now I'm looking. :D
PoE Forums >> Bug Reports >> Mirrored Strongbox's
PoE Forums >> Bug Reports >> Mirrored items in strongboxes bug
Both indicating you can't mirror unidentified items. You need "of Wisdom" for anything other than white items to be mirrored. Very rare, therefore white items will mostly be mirrored.
PoE Forums >> Bug Reports >> Empty strongboxes.
"It's even more fun with rare strongbox with many mods including "drops N additional items" which drops exactly that N items :)"
PoE Forums >> Bug Reports >> Cartographer's Strongbox is empty (no drop).
"I have had several boxes with say, +3-8 additional items. Lets say it says +5 additional gems. Guess how many gems drop then? 5!"
Nope, nothing reliable! You win. :D --YetAnotherWikiAccount (talk) 11:18, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
I didn't read all of these, but the thing about mirrored strongboxes is actually true. Without "of Wisdom" only whites are mirrored. Good call! —Vini (t|c) 13:09, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
Yeah that's pretty cool. Definitely worth mentioning on the page. Iamacyborg (talk) 15:24, 23 January 2015 (UTC)

Could whoever usually curates this article please integrate the 2.0.0 information ( "Cartographer's Strongboxes have become less frequent as you progress up the map tiers. They have not been added to the new level 80+ maps." Entranced (talk) 09:24, 6 August 2016 (UTC)

Redirections from named Strongboxes

When I entered the "Gemcutter's Strongbox" in internal wiki search I expected to read on possible drops of the gemcutter's. I was surprised that I was redirected to the general article including the introduction and I needed to scroll down to Strongbox#Variations. How about replacing the current redirects from Strongbox with Strongbox#Variations? --VADemon (talk) 04:49, 7 April 2017 (UTC)

Sure, go ahead. — thefrz — 07:50, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
