Requires Level 12Slams the ground, creating a slow wave of churning terrain that damages enemies in a sequence of areas in front of you. A number of enemies hit by the wave will release a shockwave, damaging other enemies around them. Using the skill again will stop the previous wave. Requires a Mace, Sceptre, Axe, Staff or Unarmed.Per 1% Quality:
0.5% increased Area of Effect
Deals (175-220)% of Base Attack Damage

Wave gains +2 to radius with each Area in the Sequence

Sunder is a melee attack that creates a slow-moving area of effect wave forward. Enemies hit by the wave release circular shock waves that further damage nearby enemies. The wave continues to move past its minimum distance until a new wave is created. Requires an axe, mace or staff.

Skill functions and interactions

  • Accuracy: Sunder only needs to pass an evasion check to cause a shockwave on a specific enemy – the shockwave will hit all enemies in its range, regardless of evasion.[1]
  • Area of Effect: Increases to area of effect will increase both the area of the wave and that of the shockwave created. [2] Note however that only the wave's width is modified. The length of the wave is either constant or the impact of aoe is much smaller.

  • Now slams the ground, creating a slow wave of churning terrain that damages enemies in a sequence of areas in front of you. Enemies hit by the wave will release a damaging shockwave in an area around them. Using the skill again will stop the previous wave. Requires a Mace, Sceptre, Axe, Staff or Unarmed.
  • The wave creates 5 areas, and cannot stop before creating 2 areas.
  • There is a delay between areas the wave creates. The gem gains reduced delay between areas as it levels, up to 25% reduced delay between areas at gem level 20.
  • The wave can cause a shockwave from up to 5 enemies. The wave gains +2 to the radius of each area in the sequence.
  • Shockwaves now deal 40% less Damage (from 60%). Now gains more area of effect as the gem levels, up to 19% at gem level 20.

  • Now deals base damage equal to, and has an added damage effectiveness of, 175% at gem level 1 (from 140%), up to 220% at gem level 20 (from 182%).
