Spirit Offering is a spell that consumes one or more corpses, temporarily granting the player's minions a portion of physical damage added as chaos damage, and a portion of life added as energy shield and elemental resistances.
Skill functions and interactions
The skill consumes a corpse and up to 8 additional corpses around it. Each additional corpse extends the base duration of the skill by 0.5 seconds, making the maximum achievable base duration 7 seconds.
Each player may only have one offering active at any time. Casting an offering skill while one is already active will cancel the older one.
A Necromancer Witch with the Mistress of Sacrifice notable point can use this skill to slightly heal part of her Energy Shield. However, since the heal is based off a percentage the character's life the amount healed is fairly low unless the player is balanced between life and energy shield. Necromancers using Chaos Inoculation will not gain nor heal any energy shield with Spirit Offering, as their maximum life is 1. Even at the maximum of 9 corpses consumed this would yield .18 energy shield and thus has no effect on the caster.
