There is a bug in cargo that busted the name list functionality for items, resulting in wrong/random items being returned for {{Il}} (item links).

For the time being, item links will use the exact item name for searching. This will result in some older instances of item links no longer working, in particular when legacy names are used (e.x. Pierce instead of Pierce Support).

Item links still showing incorrect items should be fixable by null-editing, while errors (red text) relating to the items not being found can be fixed manually by changing the parameter to the full name (see the template for details).

Skills page Edit

No Action
The following issue is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

someone altered the skills page and removed all passive gem references bellow the main skills, there is another page listing support gems, but it is in a disgusting single line format unlike the original. if possible please restore what was deleted, otherwise its quite a bit of editing to fix. the skills page was for all skills and not just active ones and made it easy to find what was needed without excessive searching.

Rhasputine (talk) 18:58, 3 July 2014 (UTC)

I'm responsible for those edits. You'll notice that you can sort the support gem table by primary attribute to achieve the same thing as before. Since this is an issue that does not require action by an admin, I am marking it closed. Feel free to discuss this further in the Community Portal. —Vini (t|c) 19:06, 3 July 2014 (UTC)

EK update to 1.1.5

Hi, I updated the EK article to 1.1.5 status. The values for gem level 22-30 are not confirmed with ingame data though, I just took 20% off from the previous data. I left an annotation in the article accordingly, but I wanted to point it out here in case you'd like to handle it differently. Regards, --aRTyficial (talk) 16:59, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

I'm happy with how you've done the edit, as it seems clear enough on the page. In the future this kind of subject is best brought up on the relevant talk page, as there's no admin action required. Iamacyborg (talk) 17:12, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Corrupted Affix List Missing

the list of corrupted affixes has been removed. if it was moved to another page by somebody it is not in a place where it can be found easily. please restore the corrupted affix list.

Rhasputine (talk) 21:33, 7 August 2014 (UTC)

This has been discussed in the community portal. The table of implicit modifiers that can be added using a Vaal Orb has been moved to the Vaal Orb page, which seemed more sensible to other editors. If you still have other thoughts about this issue, feel free to discuss it on the original thread in the community portal. Since this issue does not require administrative action, I am closing this ticket. —Vini (t|c) 21:50, 7 August 2014 (UTC)

New leagues and FM features on homepage

On the frontpage: could someone replace Ambush and Invasion with the new leagues?

Also, maybe some new links for important new features, like maybe to the Masters page (or the individual master pages) and one to Hideout (yet to be made). - Climmels (talk) 18:04, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

I've updated the leagues and added Masters, will add Hideout once we've got the page up. Iamacyborg (talk) 17:31, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
Superb, thanks. - Climmels (talk) 18:04, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

PoE Daily Deals has gone missing

The PoE daily deals wiki (http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Daily_Deals) has blanked after I added the Sept. 24th daily deal. I can't undo it as it always fails with "The edit could not be undone due to conflicting intermediate edits." Is there a backup that can be restored or can you fix this please? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Arrowneous (talkcontribs) 11:59, 26 September 2014 (UTC)

I tried to edit the page manually (hoping to restore via copy/paste), when I hit submit I just get a blank white page. --Qetuth-(talk) 12:11, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
Yup, seeing the same thing, I'm guessing it's related to the size of the page, there's 1.2k+ lines in there. Will raise to Curse and see if they know any more. Could be a config thing. Iamacyborg (talk) 12:19, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
I attempted to see if the page would work better with the table split in half and transcluded in, remembering working with some ridiculously long wikipedia project pages that worked that way, but I'm too tired to figure out what I'm doing wrong. The pages I created are at Daily Deals 2013, Daily Deals 2014, and Daily Deals test. In any case, that page is only going to get longer with time and probably needs to be split by year anyway. --Qetuth-(talk) 17:36, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, we'll probably have to do it that way. The Curse guys are aware of the issue and looking into it. Iamacyborg (talk) 17:43, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
I went ahead and recreated the article after I got the following error while attempting to edit it:
Exception from line 1788 of /home/hydra/public_html/includes/WikiPage.php: Could not find text for current revision 100830.
I don't want to split and transclude the table, besides large (and frequently changing) transclusions being extra work for the server, they make it more difficult to edit. I really doubt the size is actually the problem, since 66 KB isn't terribly huge, and the default article limit is 2MB. If we find it difficult to navigate (human parsing the lengthy list), we can always add anchors. Ionface (talk) 09:16, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
Sorry for the delayed response, I'll chase Curse for an update to see what's happening. Could be something related to Hydra, which is Curse's proprietary wiki-farm service. Iamacyborg (talk) 07:53, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

I'll make sure they're aware of it. Iamacyborg (talk) 07:51, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
I need to follow-up on this, looks like people can't register atm. Iamacyborg (talk) 14:46, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Doesn't this mean no one can register on Gamepedia, period? You'd think correcting this would be priority. —Vini (t|c) 15:10, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Looks that way, I've raised the issue to the Wiki Director at Curse, imagine it'll be resolved fast. Iamacyborg (talk) 19:49, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
This has now been fixed. Will keep a close eye on new users to make sure no spam gets through with the new system. Iamacyborg (talk) 17:55, 13 October 2014 (UTC)

CAPCHA Performance

I sometimes experience very poor performance with the CAPTCHA, with edits timing out for dozens of attempts in a row. I suspect this happens when a template that itself includes an external link is used in a page. --Evil4Zerggin (talk) 00:52, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

That's a different issue. I'll see what can be done. Iamacyborg (talk) 12:07, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

I've noticed that the max quantity is lower than the map I found. Likely it is 5% higher than the stated maximum? Mine states 53% http://i.imgur.com/SrNCS3g.png TehRiney (talk) 03:46, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

I looked it up on poe.xyz and apparently the quantity can get to 60%. I've updated the page. Thanks for posting. - Climmels (talk) 08:22, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

Could someone add Season Nine to the frontpage? I also think we should fit in a link to Hideout somewhere, but I'm not exactly sure where (maybe under "Wraeclast"?). Thanks. - Climmels (talk) 09:11, 22 October 2014 (UTC)

I was looking at the crafting requirements for Catarina and it seems that there is a mix up between "Required Player Level"(8) and "Required Master Level"(1). It should be switch, as in: Required Player Level is 1 and Required Master Level is 8.

Please fix. My buddy swap master and lost experience from previous master thinking he could do the crafting at level 1 master from this. Minor problem for him but should be fix. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Strazah0 (talkcontribs) 02:39, 5 November 2014 (UTC)

  • PvP season 1 should be added under the Player versus Player section.

Can't edit pages anymore for some reason

Hi. I keep getting an issue everytime i try to edit/update some pages here about skills etc. (atm its Kinetic Blast), it has been happening for a couple of weeks now. everytime i'm done with adding/updating data and want to save the page. The wiki homepage goes into a long loading session and then i get a blank page, non of the work i've done ever gets saved anymore. Is the server always overloaded or am i forbidden edit pages anymore? I use firefox, never had this problem until a couple weeks ago. Bjarky —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bjarky (talkcontribs) 20:50, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

I'm having the same problem. Is this a problem at Curse? --Climmels (talk) 08:54, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
nevermind, I just read the post above. --Climmels (talk) 08:56, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
We've got too many resource intensive templates on skill pages which is causing them to exceed the 30 second PHP time limit. We'll have to pare them down to stop this issue. Iamacyborg (talk) 12:53, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
Can you suggest a page that has these resource intensive templates? I would like to look into it. —Vini (t|c) 12:58, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
Looks like it's the way we're inserting Quest Rewards into pages. removing that bit of code from skill pages fixes the issue. Iamacyborg (talk) 13:02, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
That was my suspicion as well. I didn't build those templates, but I understand a bit about how they work. The data exists on the individual quest pages, then on each skill page it looks at every single quest page to see if that quest contains that skill gem as a reward. It's extremely inelegant, so I'm not surprised it's causing issues. I guess we'll have to manually populate those sections until we come up with a better way to do it. —Vini (t|c) 14:25, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
Yup. For now I'm just adding a text link to the Quest Rewards page so people can still have easy-ish access. Should be a decent compromise until we find a proper fix. Iamacyborg (talk) 14:51, 16 December 2014 (UTC)

Hello, no problem to report. Just a comment about the PoE Daily Deals history and thinking about how long it can physically get before you have to subdivide it by year for better organizing. I'll keep adding each daily deal in 2015. That's all and have a happy new year.

Arrowneous

Happy new year! It might be best to stick it all onto another page so the current one doesn't get completely overloaded in time, but I'm open to other suggestions. Iamacyborg (talk) 22:00, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

Hi, I just wanted to add a little bit of extra information I had gathered ingame to the Herald of Ash page, but when I hit save the page takes forever to load and then stays blank. I've retried to submit the page multiple times over the course of about an hour or so. I've read about this issue further down the line before. Any suggestions? DagonxXx (talk)

File:Emberwake.png will not update properly

No Action
The following issue is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

First of all, the currently in use emberwake image is actually the alternate art race reward. Another version (using the image found here https://p7p4m6s5.ssl.hwcdn.net/image/Art/2DItems/Rings/Ring10.png) can be found in any league. Here is a shop thread that is currently selling it, though I don't know how long this reference will hold. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1376736 Compare to the alternate art one found at https://www.pathofexile.com/seasons being https://p7p4m6s5.ssl.hwcdn.net/image/Art/2DItems/Rings/EmberwakeAlt.png

Anyway, in an attempt to correct this error, I uploaded a new copy of the alt art (under Emberwake 2.png), then tried to update the existing Emberwake.png to the normal art version. After saving and uploading the proper image, I found that it had not in fact changed. Thinking I mistakenly uploaded the alternate art I'd previously saved, I tried again, this time making absolutely certain that I had uploaded the proper Ring10.png image. This also displayed the wrong image, but strangely in the image history, the previous upload now displayed the proper image. Hoping the problem would now be solved, I reverted to this image. Now, again, the displayed image is the incorrect one, and now twice the correct one is showed in the file history.

I don't understand this, at all. My sincere apologies if I've done anything stupid, but I'd very much like if you could fix this (and hopefully tell me how to fix this if such a problem arises in the future). ∞ The one, the only, the Moses

The wiki employs internal caching. There's no need to upload the same file over and over again. Just wait for the image cache to update. —Vini (t|c) 22:42, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
