Mechanics
When an attack made with Mjölner hits an enemy, socketed lightning spells will be cast without costing mana, similar to a trigger gem. The cooldown of this triggering effect is 150ms.
Multiple socketed lightning spells will trigger sequentially, starting with the socket on the top left. The order of the triggered spells is preserved even if a previous spell is already off cooldown. Multiple copies of the same spell share a cooldown. NOTE! This applies on multiple copies of the same spell when dual-wielding, even if they are in different Mjolners.
Dual wielding: While dual wielding, socketed lightning spells will only cast when a hit is made with the Mjölner they are socketed in.
Maximizing DPS: If only one Mjölner is being worn an attack rate of 6.67 attacks per second is optimal to maximize triggers. For non-crit builds Resolute Technique can be allocated if a sufficient accuracy rating cannot be easily reached.
Achieving a high DPS with Mjolner is hard, since the triggered spell can only be supported by 2 support gems. Consider using other sources of more damage, or going crit to amplify your damage output.
