Low life

Supported Skills spend Life instead of ManaThis is a Support Gem. It does not grant a bonus to your character, but to skills in sockets connected to it. Place into an item socket connected to a socket containing the Active Skill Gem you wish to augment. Right click to remove from a socket.
is an easy way to trigger the low life condition.

The low life state unlocks several interesting aspects for a character, but can be difficult to maintain efficiently. See maintaining low life for more information.

Both these items are extremely convenient for low life energy shield builds because they prevent chaos damage from bypassing energy shield. They are not, however, necessary for such a build if the character has sufficiently high chaos resistance and other defences.


Since version 0.9.6, the player light changes to noticeably reddish over the 33% - 37% range to make it easier to judge when the condition applies.
