Map Layout

Boss Arena

Jungle Valley's Boss Arena is called The Loom Chamber, an above-ground variation of the Weaver's Chambers encounter. Like the underground version of this fight with The Weaver, the area features a circular area which begins as totally empty of any hostile units. Only once the player has entered far enough into the Arena will the room slowly begin filling with Normal spiders , descending down from an unseen area, above the arena.

The encounter typically includes at least one pack of Magic Spiders, all sharing a single monster affix, which can be either Flicker StrikeFlicker StrikeAttack, Melee, Movement

. After the boss has been killed, small spiderlings hatch from the eggsacks located at the edges of the Arena's web floor, and immediately proceed to attack the player.

Unlike the encounter with The Weaver, neither the boss, nor the lesser spiders become untargetable by retreating upwards towards the area from which they originally descended.

In general, narrow, linear maps will contain fewer total monsters than maps with complex layouts.
