Burning ground

Burning ground is a detrimental ground effect that deals burning damage (fire damage over time). This effect is not the same as applying the ignite status effect. The amount of damage per second inflicted by burning ground depends on its source.

Based on extracted data, low tier map mod deal 800 fire damage per second, while it is 1200 in mid tier and 1600 in top tier. These value are base damage and does not take into account for other scaling effect such as Atlas awakening objective completion when in map, or the player character's fire resistance.

Note that the lower tier burning ground mod for Delve area has been disabled.

Trivia

There are two status icons for the ground effect, both under the folder /SkillIcons in the game file: groundfire.dds and holygroundfire.dds. The latter is a more gold yellowish color to match the color of the ground effect that was inflicted by some monsters.
