A Bestiary Orb was a currency item that could store a captured beast. This way the beast was tradable with other players.

Bestiary Orbs could only be obtained in the Bestiary leagues. They were sold by Einhar Frey for 1 Chaos Orb.

Since beast hunting was not added to the core game after the Bestiary leagues ended, capturing beasts is not possible anymore. As a consequence, Bestiary Orbs no longer drop. Existing Bestiary Orbs were retained, but currently have no practical use.

Using these orbs on a beast made the beast tradeable.

Version history

Version Changes
  • You can now trade Beasts with other players. Just buy a Bestiary Orb from Einhar and then use it on a specific Beast in your Menagerie. The resultant item can then be listed on trade sites and traded to other players via the secure trade screen. To let the monster out of the item, just right-click it. Adding a beast to your Menagerie this way does not grant progress towards the "Complete the Bestiary" challenge.[1]
