The Goddess Scorned is a one-handed sword, but does not allow a shield or another one-handed melee weapon to be equipped in the off-hand slot.
Mechanics
Ignited enemies burn 50% faster with the Goddess Scorned, which means the fire damage per second is raised by 50% and the ignite duration is lowered by 33.3%.[1] To see this, assume an enemy would normally be inflicted with ignite for 100 damage per second over 4.0 seconds. With the Goddess Scorned, the damage per second is raised by 50%, which gives 100 × 1.5 = 150 damage per second. Because the total damage is the same, the new duration of 400 ÷ 150 = 2.7 seconds can be obtained. 2.7 seconds is 33.3% less than 4.0.
